Welcome to the COALE/LANDON THEATRE ORGANIST DATABASE (U.S. organists who played c. 1915-1935) *This database is the collective work of Dr. John Landon and Dr. William L. Coale
Dr. Landon graciously supplied Dr. Coale with his theatre organist biographical data, which is being added to Dr. Coale's existing research, all now available to the public. YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Donors (corporate/organization/individual) will be acknowledged on this page. This research is the result of THOUSANDS of hours of searching and validating, and the tool ($20 per month) as well as this website to display it also costs. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

NOTE: I'm am manually entering Dr. John Landon's information into the database (indicated by "per JWL"). Currently that process is complete through the letter "I" of the organist's last name. If you're looking for something from last names J-Z that you can't find in the database, please feel free to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can check manually to see if I have additional information on a particular organist not listed here. Thanks!
NOTE: Please use the scroll bar to navigate right/left and up/down. Use the magnifying glass icon to SEARCH.
Layout sort order is: organist last name/organist first name/state/city/theatre name.
**Be sure to scroll ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT so you can view the attachments that are part of most of these records. The ultimate goal is to have at least one attachment for each organist/theatre where they played.
FILTER and SORT tools are also available for your use.
